Hillary Murphy is the owner of Abundance Retreats, and co-owns and designed the properties where the Abundance retreats are held. As an interior designer with 20+ years of experience, her vision was to create spaces perfect for the types of experiences that have transformed her own life — retreats. "I’ve always loved retreats. I’ve made friends, I’ve made breakthroughs, and I have grown so much as a person because of the ideas and the people I encountered. I knew I had a unique opportunity to partner with gifted facilitators to bring people together in a powerful way". Hillary is most passionate about serving women, because women in particular rarely take the time to step away and reconnect with themselves, get clear on who they are, what they want and the changes they want to make in their lives. Creating that space, allows them to find new interests, forge friendships, and expand their knowledge which creates a positive ripple effect that spreads to their families and communities.

“Kristen is a gifted spiritual guide infusing her teachings with compassion, wisdom and grace. If you are looking to play and connect to your childhood essence this is the retreat for you! Kristen creates a warm and welcoming environment where safety and inclusion are at the heart of the community. The La Jolla retreat location was a restorative and rejuvenating space to lift your spirits and the food was delicious! Kristen creatively blends the practices of yoga, dance, and spirituality while infusing the practices with wonder and awe. She brings a fresh dose of sunshine to brighten any day. Sign up for your next adventure today!”
My YBBWKND with Kristen had all the best elements of a slumber party (dancing, music, goofiness, yummy food) cradled in with all best offerings of a yoga or meditation retreat (deep work, reflection, tears, and stillness). I met and formed relationships with other heart-centered women that still exist today! If you love yourself...go! If you have trouble loving yourself...go! If you're scared about making friends...go! There's only one human like Kristen and time with her is not to be missed!”
I attended several YBB retreats and LOVED every single one of them. As an introvert, I was nervous before my first retreat about spending a weekend with a bunch of people, some of whom I didn't know well, but Kristen created a space that allowed for everyone to feel completely at ease and supported. The connections and pure magic I experienced at each retreat are impossible to describe with words. It goes way beyond what I'd previously thought of as "dance." All I can say is that I will forever move heaven and earth to go to one of Kristen's YBB weekends whenever the opportunity arises and can't wait for the next one
“Some of my happiest memories of the last 6 years include YBB retreats with Kristen Huffman Lemoine. I am so grateful our paths crossed when they did - she truly has a beautiful gift of bringing awesome people together. I've had some really profound breakthroughs on Kristen's retreats, and I truly believe that is because she fosters a sacred space to process, explore, and grow. You'll laugh, cry, dance, scream, and ultimately find the sweetest peace you've ever experienced. I've found that when I set aside time to work on myself by attending these retreats, I am able to show up more authentically & compassionately in my day-to-day life. A YBB retreat with Kristen is the BEST way to see a part of the world you've never been to before, or revisit an old favorite special place. SO thankful for Kristen and her many gifts & talents!
"an idealized place of great or idyllic magnificence and beauty."
Xanadu is where our sessions and meals will be on this retreat.
Breathe in the sun soaked scent of desert sage, and stargaze by night at this one of a kind retreat. This space is very private. It's pure magic. Kick up your feet up and relax in on our hammock circle. Take in the breathtaking landscape of Joshua Tree. Sit by the fire pit, watch the sunset, soak in the hot tub, and enjoy the quiet pace of the desert.
Some guests will stay at our sister property:
This property is just down the road from Xanadu. Both properties are in South Joshua Tree near the park entrance and up against rolling boulders. The Treehouse is a world away yet close to all that downtown JT and the National Park have to offer. Filled with original artwork and enclosed with a wraparound view deck for grilling and relaxing, it's a stargazing haven.
What do I need to bring?
Things to bring:
Clothes you can move in.
Clothes you can sleep in.
Warm clothes for nighttime (it gets COLD in the desert after dark - sweats will be your friend).
Your own reusable water bottle (hydration is important in the desert!).
Sunscreen and/or a hat for hikes.
Portable craft projects, a journal, paint - whatever you need to get creative, because you will definitely feel inspired. There’s no designated craft, but there will be free time. Bring the medium of your choice that’s available to share and join us at the community art table.
Earplugs if you need an early bedtime, because rich, juicy conversations may last late into the night.
Don’t worry about…
Knowing how to dance, or do yoga — you don’t need to be a dancer or yogini to be here. If it’s your first time, you’ll fit right in. If it’s your 100th time, you’ll fit right in.
Bringing a friend, or friends.
Your body, your clothes, your hair, or your nails.
Yoga mats (unless you want to bring your own).
Can I get a private room?
Because we are hosting this event on two private properties, space is limited, but we can offer a few private rooms. But, the nature of this experience is communal, like a giant sleepover, so we think you’ll enjoy it!
